16 July 2001 Daniel to join the Finland U18 team for the European Championships The Finnish Football Association today announced that
Liverpool striker Daniel Sjölund will join the Finland U18 team for the
European Championships held in Finland 21.-27.7.2001. He was already named
as one of the 30 players from which the final 18 players for the team will
be chosen before Finland's first game on Saturday 21st but because Liverpool
was not eager to let him participate it was not sure if he would be seen in
the championships. Sjölund will join the rest of the Finland team later this
week in Eerikkilä where the team is preparing for the tournament. |
